Crainer’s Top 5 Vikings to Watch

  1. Adrian Peterson – RB

Say what you want to about Adrian Peterson. No, really, it’s a free country, so you are allowed to say anything you want to about Adrian Peterson. But when you’re done with that listen to the fact. AP is undeniably one of the greatest running backs that the NFL has ever seen. He brings an amazing combination of speed, size, and pure punishing power to the game that, no offense to Matt Asiata et al, the Vikings sorely lacked last season. With a new offensive coordinator that is used to working with exceptional running backs (I see you LT), Adrian Peterson could be poised for a comeback season that will turn heads. He has a year off, and after the punishment he’s taken over the past few seasons being the only reliable offensive option for the Vikings, I’m sure he’s rested and energized to deliver some crushing blows to would be tacklers. And the only thing better for a young QB than a good TE is an amazing running game. The pressure should be off of our top player to watch this season as he prepares for his sophomore campaign.
