Week Three TE Options – Dante Pitts

by Dante Pitts

This week in fantasy was an absolute disaster for anybody with a Tight End on their roster (which was everybody). Ok, no everybody, but a majority of us were fighting through a ton of bad injuries (I had Jimmy Graham and Greg Olsen in two leagues) and overall poor performances from a fantasy standpoint. Hopefully in week 3 you can fair better than I did with these picks ups. I’ll also give you some insight on a DFS play that could pay off this week.

Gerald Everett – The Rams offense has become increasingly better. Goff is becoming a decent NFL quarterback and he is utilizing the backs, tight ends and receivers on the offensive side of the ball. If you are in a deeper league and need someone to fill in for an injured Tight End, Everett may be your answer. He is playing a Thursday night game against the 49ers who were at the bottom of league in defending Tight Ends last year. Third in targets behind Cooper Kupp and Todd Gurley, Everett makes for a TE3 streamer.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins – returning from a 2 game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, ASJ will be a great play this weekend. The 38th overall pick of the Tampa Bay Bucs, Seferian – Jenkins was faced with character issues when playing with the franchise. It seems that ASJ has learned from his mistakes and will be an important part of the Jets offense. The Jets need play-makers and ASJ will be one of them.

Jack Doyle – The Colts offense is bad, but they have a match-up against a team that might be equally as bad, The Cleveland Browns. On matchup alone Doyle is prime for a great Sunday as last week he saw 8 targets and caught them all. The Browns defense have had bad outings against Tight Ends this season as they gave up 22 and 17 points to Jesse James and Ben Watson respectively.

DFS play:

Delanie Walker – Delaine Walker has caught 11 of 13 passes this season and continues to be the primary receiver for Marcus Mariota. Although the Seahawks defense has been stingy to Tight Ends, Walker will be a good play solely based on volume.
