Quarterbacks

Matthew Stafford – Currently owned in 76.9% of ESPN Leagues

I have Stafford here ONLY because someone my have dropped him because of the bye week last week. He is QB15 right now and I would rather have him then any other QB on this list. He has tougher match-ups in the coming weeks but as a one week starter you can do worse. Miami did just give up 316yrds and 3TDs to Trubisky this week as well.

Baker Mayfield – Currently owned in 42% of ESPN Leagues

I have been talking about Mayfield for the last two weeks. He has a ton of good match-ups coming up at Tampa Bay, at Pittsburgh, then home for Kansas City and Atlanta. All of those defenses have been bad against the pass and the way Cleveland’s defense is playing the offense is going to need to put up some serious points. Mayfield does need to improve his chemistry with Jarvis Landry in my opinion but if Mayfield is the QB Njoku also gets a boost.

Mitch Trubisky – Currently owned in 32% or ESPN Leagues

I can’t believe I am saying this after last season but Mitch Trubisky has 670 yards and 9 TD’s in the last two games. Those are Pat Mahomes type numbers. New England just gave up 64 points in the last two weeks. New England has allowed 717 passing yards and 7 TDs through the air as well. Nagy finally has this offense working in my opinion and because the game is in front of the home crowd of Chicago and not the unfriendly Gillette Stadium, Trubisky should have a solid game.

Stay away from Dak Prescott and Brock Owseiler, your chasing points and these guys need to prove it more than just one week.

Running Backs

Marlon Mack – Currently owned in 26% of ESPN Leagues

With Mack back in the line-up the Colts were actually able to produce something that resembled a running game. They totaled 127 rushing yards and Mack had 89 of those on 12 carries and averaged 7.4 yards per carry. Mack is clearly the back to own in Indianapolis now that he is back and healthy. He is widely available and should be considered a top priority considering the talent that is on byes this week.

Peyton Barber – Currently owned in 43% of ESPN Leagues

I know that the Buccaneers just played one of the worst rushing defenses in the league in Atlanta, but the Bucs are a different offense now with Jameis Winston at quarterback coming out of the bye. Cleveland is a middle of the road defense against Running Backs in fantasy football this season and Barber should be a streamable option this next week.

Wendell Smallwood – Currently owned in 47% of ESPN Leagues

Wendell Smallwood is still out snapping and out touching Corey Clement at Philadelphia. Philadelphia is playing much better over the last two week and I don’t see Smallwood’s workload getting any smaller.

Donta Foreman – Currently owned in 8.5% of ESPN Leagues

We have talked about him in previous weeks. He isn’t likely to be activated this week but should get significant work once he is.
