Struggles Will Continue For These Two RBs – Anthony Haage

by Anthony Haage

Sony Michel:

Michel has been awful to begin this year. He has registered just 2.4 YPC against three bottom ten defenses. The only thing that has “saved” Michel this year is his two touchdowns. The Patriots offense is bound to score a lot of touchdowns but it isn’t a reliable source for Michel to be the one scoring those touchdowns. Rex Burkhead has been outperforming Michel by a long shot and has played 48% of the snaps on average while Michel has only played 34.6%. The Bills also rank 21st in fantasy points against running backs.

Todd Gurley:

Todd Gurley hasn’t been the player he was in the previous years. In the first three weeks, Gurley is ranked #23 in standard scoring, and #26 in PPR leagues. His snap percentage has been under 75% in all three weeks because of how the Rams are managing the health of his knee, which limits his chance for more points. Gurley will be a TD dependent back this week against the Buccaneers who have ranked #31 in fantasy points against RBs so far this year.
