As Formula One fans know, today was originally scheduled for to the running of the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo. Due to the COVID-19 shutdown around the world, the famous Monte Carlo race was cancelled and will not run for the first time since 1954. While some races for the 2020 Formula One season have been postponed in order to try and run them later, the organizers of one of the most iconic races in motorsport decided to cancel it outright.
Luckily, the Formula One media teams have been helping race fans with their withdawals by replaying races from previous years. Yesterday, they replayed the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix where Daniel Ricciardo’s Red Bull earned redemption from a disasterous pit stop in 2016 cost him the championship. Although F1 has not posted a full replay of the 2019 Monaco GP, you can view highlights of last year’s 2019 Monaco Grand Prix HERE.
