Martin Truex Jr won his first race of the 2020 campaign and his second consecutive race at the Martinsville Speedway, taking the checkered flag at the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain 500.

“The last couple years we’ve been really strong. 2018 was a heartbreaker at the end of the race there. Last year to get the win and this year, hats off to the guys,” said Truex after the race.

Pole winner Ryan Blaney finished second in the race with Penske teammates Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano finishing second and third. The three Penske drivers combined to lead 273 laps of the race with Logano leading 234 of those himself.

NASCAR Cup Series Leader Kevin Harvick finished in 15th, which still gave him enough points to keep his season long points lead over Joey Logano and Chase Elliott.

The NASCAR Cup Series next race, the Dixie Vodka 400, is Sunday (3:30 p.m. ET on FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
