For the fourth time, Columbus Blue Jackets Head Coach John Tortorella has been named a finalist for the Jack Adams Award, also known as NHL Coach of the Year, by the National Hockey League Broadcasters’ Association. Over his 391 games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, he has won 209 of them, with only 140 losses and 42 overtimes. This record has already given him one Jack Adam’s award with the Jackets in the 2016-2017 season, along with another in his early years coaching the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2003-2004 season.
As far as the Columbus Blue Jackets as a while, they have made it to the playoffs and many of their injured players will return for the restart against Toronto August 1st. John Tortorella is now a finalist for best head coach in the league. Also one of our main goalies, Elvis Merzlikins got engaged and married during the four-month break due to the unfortunate pandemic. He announced this during a press conference this week, wanting to keep it respectfully under wraps due to the protests and illness, believing it wasn’t the proper time to announce such news. Now there is a lot of work to be done preparing for Toronto in Toronto, but also a lot of good to celebrate, and these days, we need all the good we can get!
