Ian Happ Can Make The Cubs Great

The first Cubs series of the season has shown us what Ian Happ at his best looks like. Happ finished the Opening Series against Milwaukee hitting .300, 2 2 run home runs, an RBI single, and a walk. Happ also had a highlight reel catch in center off of a Keston Hiura deep ball.
Happ has been playing CF and LF while batting ninth in the order for the first three games of the season. Hitting ninth is very beneficial to Happ and the Cubs because he can essentially be the leadoff hitter after the first inning and directly be followed by Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo. Happ provides a great bat at the bottom of the order and he will be able to score runs at a good rate because of his ability to get on base (.340 career OBP).
Another reason why Happ is a great piece to the Cubs puzzle is that he is a switch hitter. He can take advantage of opposite hand pitchers and be a great 9-spot hitter for the Cubs.
2020’s 60 game MLB season is a perfect season for Happ to start hitting his stride and be a great sneaky option at the bottom of the order for the Cubs.
