In our opening of Game 4, between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins, we had only one goal. This goal belonged to the Lightning, carrying their momentum from their Game 3, 7 – 1 win. Again, in Period 2 the Lightning struck the Bruins twice more. This would give them a 3 – 0 lead going into the final period. The Lightning would not score again for the remainder of the game but would hold the Bruins to only a goal, resulting in a 3 – 1 win for the Lightning, and a 3 – 1 Round 2 Series lead.
This, of course, means the Lightning only needs a single game to take this Round 2, Stanley Cup 2020 Series, and precede into the East Conference Final. There they would face either the New York Islanders or the Philidelphia Flyers. Also, I don’t mean to bring out the sun on the Lightning’s win streak, but it is worth mentioning, they do still need another win for all of this to be meaningful. The Bruins are down, but they are not out yet, and we’ve seen teams in every sports, rally in the Playoffs when they are in a win or out situation. At times, these teams have even come back, winning the series. So, Game 5 on Monday will be a must-see, will the Lightning strike this Bruins one final time, or will the Bruins become electric themselves, fighting through to force a Game 6. It won’t be long before we find out!
