Last week would have been a perfect 15-0 if not for two incredibly unlikely events; Jay Cutler overcomes himself to lead a game winning drive, and the Arizona Cardinals losing at home. The Cardinals have one of the best home field advantages in all of the NFL but they spoiled it with a sloppy game that was marred by turnovers, a lackluster defensive performance, and lack of execution in the red zone. The Rams are a solid team, they deserved to win that game, and I think they will stay relevant in the division this year for longer than some may have thought. The biggest takeaway from last week; CJ Anderson would be the leader in the clubhouse for Fantasy Bust of the Year if not for the Ghost of Andre Johnson in Indy giving him a run for his money. Meanwhile, Devonta Freeman has jumped into the lead for this year’s Top Sleeper Pick with 6 TD’s in the last two weeks. What’s on tap for Week 5? It starts with what could be an ugly game on Thursday between the offensively challenged Colts and the 2015 Hard Knocks Curse Recipient Houston Texans.

This could be a really ugly game if these two teams continue playing as they have through the first 4 weeks. Honestly, unless you are a fan of either team, I don’t even know if it is worth making plans to watch this game if there is anything else you could possibly do. The Colts should get Andrew Luck back this week, we can wait till Friday morning to discuss whether or not that is a good thing given Luck’s bewildering play season to date. Regardless of how bad Luck has played so far this season, he is still far better than Ryan Mallett. Arian Foster returned last week, but looked nowhere near 100%. The Colts are not very good on defense themselves, ranking 27th overall and 25th against the run, so Houston will try to focus on the run and keep it out of Mallett’s hands. It is hard to like the Colts on the road, but Luck is 5-1 against the Texans lifetime and maybe Andre Johnson coming back to Houston will provide a flash in the pan performance. If Johnson struggles again this week, he should be dropped if you haven’t already or buried on your bench. Colts win 28-17.
