In each of the last two weeks, the Seahawks have lost big names in their offense. First, there was Marshawn Lynch needing hernia surgery and then Jimmy Graham‘s season ender last week when he tore his patellar tendon while attempting to catch a touchdown pass against the Steelers. With all of this, how will the Seahawks recover?
Enter Thomas Rawls and Luke Willson. Thomas Rawls has already disappeared from waiver wires because has out performed Lynch this season. Rawls has 685 yards this season and with 5 games to go, its not a stretch to believe that he will run for 1000 yards this season. Luke Willson, on the other hand, is at most a capable backup and that is his ceiling. Willson will not be worth adding unless you have no other starting TE option.
Rawls: 105 total yards, 1TD
Willson: 2 catches, 35 yards
Since making the switch from rookie Drew Nowak to 3rd year Patrick Lewis, Seattle’s line has been looking more like the offense that everyone thought they would see at the beginning of the year. The switch has led to petter O-line play in both the pass and the run which has allowed Russell Wilson to be red hot the last two weeks with 8 TDs and 0 INTs
Russell Wilson: 270 yards passing, 35 yards rushing, 3 Total TD’s
Doug Baldwin has led all NFL in receiving the last 3 weeks with 339yards and 4 TD. Expect him to be targeted more with Graham out for the year; the only other consistently relevant WR option is Tyler Lockett and that is only if you get points for return yards.
Doug Baldwin 7 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD
With the Offense trending in a positive direction, the defense seems to be going the other way. They did well in fantasy given that they secured 4 INTs and a few sacks. However, Big Ben threw for over 400 yards including several big plays of over 40 yards. They still play well against the run so it will be interesting to see how they attack Adrian Peterson. The biggest problem they have is that they are getting dominated by tight ends. Look for Kyle Rudolph to be targeted heavily. If you are stuck at TE, pick up Rudolph who is only owned in 56% of yahoo leagues.
