It looks as if Brock Osweiler is getting a head start on becoming acquainted with his receiving corps and backup. This week he and receivers DeAndre Hopkins, Jaelen Strong, Cecil Shorts and Keith Mumphery and quarterback Tom Savage all head out to Arizona State University, where both Osweiler and Strong played college football.

The group will need to work on chemistry and timing as they prepare for the new season and Osweiler learns his new group of receivers. It remains to be seen how the addition of Osweiler will effect star wideout DeAndre Hopkins, who had a breakout year in 2015. Moving out of Andre Johnson’s shadow and becoming the #1 receiver for Houston, Hopkins finished with 111 catches for 1,521 yards and 11 TDs.

Osweiler has some experience throwing to highly talented receivers, having spent the last couple seasons behind Peyton Manning and throwing to Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.
