DFS Lineup of the Week – Brad Holda

Brad Holda is the Owner of Voks DFS Firelines and provides a weekly sample lineup with analysis to help you with your Daily Fantasy lineups.

QB – DAK PRESCOTT ($5,000) – Dak comes in as the best points per dollar value across the board, weighing in as an immense value, considering his dual threat capabilities and immense upside. Even if he just hits the cusp of the minimal value threshold, his value can unlock exponential capabilities and unlimited combos for your roster. He is mainly a cash exploitation play that opens up some serious cap relief for you to target some higher upside, chalkier wide-outs you’re going to need to bring in that #skullkingcash.

RB – LAMAR MILLER ($7,000) – Bill O”Brien has had a 20 touch back in just shy of 60% of the games he’s coached. I’ll take the over on this in game, especially with the Texans as heavy favorites. (-6) Miller signed with the Texans for one reason and one reason only; to be that 20-touch, workhorse back the Texans are predicating a lot of their offensive scheming around. Only 3 teams have allowed more carries per yard last year than the Bears. (4.5) This is my #skullkingcash pick #1 for RB who I’ll have heavy exposure to today in cash. Miller represents a player with a solid floor that will receive the bulk of red-zone carries and also carries a high TD probably according to my current models.

RB – THEO RIDDICK ($4,000) – Riddick is coming off a career year as a pass catcher which is great for the full PPR format of DraftKings. He reeled in 80 catches for 700 yards last year and just signed a 3 year contract. You know what entails! Look for Riddick to be involved in Jim Bob Cooter’s up-tempo, aerial assault mixed in with 3-5 carries, representing a quality pick with a stable floor.

WR – A.J. GREEN ($8,400) – The season long hype is real so grab him for you cash lines! This is not a new revelation but good reasoning it is not. More compelling is the fact that “Stud receivers get their’s regardless of who’s covering them.” (Ryan Skolrud, Skullking CEO) No but on a serious note since being drafted in 2011 Green has been nothing short of brilliant! He’s essentially been a model of consistency, reaching the heights of 1,000 yard receiving every year of his young career. He’s also caught double-digit touchdowns season in and out. Roster him, now!

WR – MARVIN JONES ($4,600) – #skullkingcash Ryan “Skullking” Skolrud’s Bold Cash Prediction!! Jones has shown to have a good connection with QB Stafford and has had a 10 TD season before. If he can stay healthy he will be the over the top WR in the DET offense. Golden Tate runs most of his routes underneath and from the slot, however, the Lions have just acquired Anquan Boldin to be the slot man, leaving some uncertainty as to how their roles will play out. Jones role is more defined and the top WR option in this offense against a terrible defense from IND.

WR – JULIO JONES ($9,400) – Another WR whose track record speaks for itself is Julio Jones. No matter what defense is trying to cover him, Julio finds a way to get the job done. There is a reason he is the #2 highest player in terms of salary on DraftKings. Like Antonio Brown, the money is always worth spending on him. You can find good value at other positions, but Julio is worth the price.

TE – DWAYNE ALLEN ($3,200) – Allen is phenomenal value for the dollar at TE this week. The Colts could very well find themselves in a shootout with the Lions and there is no more Coby Fleener to take away receptions at the position. With Indianapolis going to more three wide receiver sets in their offense, this leaves Allen as the main big body for the redzone, and with these two offenses, he could have multiple targets near/in the endzone.

FLEX – LATAVIUS MURRAY ($5,600) – Murray is a dual threat back that is a viable cash game target at his modest price point on DraftKings. He is a workhorse that projects around 12-15 touches with moderate to high probability of scoring a touchdown. It’s also worth noting, and makes for a more compelling case for Murray, that the Saints ranked dead last in the NFL against the run last year.

D/ST – GREEN BAY ($2,900) – This is mainly another value play in terms of salary, but the game script could play out well for your lineup. Green Bay has a solid defense with talented young backfield that could create some turnovers if Jacksonville needs to air out the ball to catch up in the game.
