The Tight End position is probably one the hardest to predict in fantasy sports, all fantasy sports… not just football. If you owned Rhett Ellison , Tyler Kroft, Luke Willson, A.J. Derby, O.J. Howard or James Hanna you fortunately saw some touchdown production. If you didn’t own these guys, your tight end fantasy week was propbably a tough one. But I am here to give you a little peace of mind and give you some safer picks for week 5.
Zach Ertz – Zach Ertz is going up against a tough Cardinals defense that ranks 4th against the Tight End position this season. But Ertz leads all Tight Ends in Targets, Catches and receiving yards. He will be one of the more consistent options for the rest of the season.
Hunter Henry – The Giants have given up a touchdown to the Tight End position 5 times in four games. If you listened to our Waiver Wire podcast last week I told you that Cameron Brate would have great production against the Giants and he did. Look for Hunter Henry to follow suit.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins – The Browns are terrible in defending the Tight End position, they have given up multiple touchdowns in 4 weeks and a 91 performance to Benjamin Watson.
Jack Doyle – I would stay away from Jack Doyle as the 49ers have one of the best defenses against the tight end. Also, Doyle is going through concussion protocol and will make it difficult to trust in Doyle
Delaine Walker – Walker came out of the gate hot but has kind of cooled off, I would avoid Walker, especially if Marcus Mariota is not playing on the road versus the Dolphins.
Tyler Croft – The Bengals offense has finally picked up steamed and the Tight End spot will become utilized well. Croft is going up against a Bills defense that plays well against the Tight End position,
