Ryan Fitzpatrick – Currently owned in 31.4% of ESPN Leagues

At this point there should be no doubters in “Fitzmagic.” He has TORCHED two quality defenses in the first two weeks of the season in the Saints and the Eagles who both made the playoffs last year. He travels to Pittsburgh this week to face a team that just gave up 300 yards and 6 TDs to Mahomes. Ryan Fitzpatrick should be owned in EVERY League at this point.

Case Keenum – Currently owned in 25.9% of ESPN Leagues

Keenum struggled a little this last week but he has great matchups for the next two weeks. The Ravens have not been what we thought they were and Kansas City is scoring at WILL because they need to because their Defense is beaten all over the field. We liked Keenum at the beginning of the year because of the weapons he has in Thomas and Sanders. He is getting help in the running game from the relatively unknown Lindsay. Keenum is an option if you NEED on at QB but there are no byes yet and I would only grab him if you want your choice of back up when the byes come.

Aaron Jones – Currently owned in 45.6% of Leagues

Aaron Jones‘ suspension is now done and he can compete and possibly WIN the starting job as soon as this week. It is rare to find someone on the waivers that is a starter and Jones had two games of 140+ yards on the ground last year for the Packers. Jamaal Williams has been less than impressive and if Jones can prove himself in practice to become the starter there is a relatively easy road after this week against Washington. If you can be patient and don’t need an immediate player I would give Jones a serious look.

Austin Ekeler – Currently owned in 42.9% of ESPN Leagues

Austin Ekeler, or as we call him “Woodhead 2.0” has had a solid start to the season. The Chargers a proving to be a formidable offense. Yes they have played Kansas City and Buffalo, but Ekeler was a solid grab last year and right now because of his involvement in the passing game. I would really only look at him in PPR formats unless you have Gordon and want him as the handcuff. Tough match up this week against the Rams but the key to the Rams Defense are the corners on the outside or the run up the middle. Ekeler will still have value catching the ball out of the backfield much like Jalen Richard from Oakland in week one who had 14 fantasy points from the passing game.

Giovani Bernard – Currently owned in 39.4% of ESPN Leagues

With Mixon out anywhere from 1-4 weeks because of his knee injury Gio Bernard is a must add. Bernard is a versatile back that can keep the playbook the same even with Mixon out. Obviously there is a dip in Bernard from Mixon’s upside but the dip is much less than the Fournette to Yeldon situation.

Keelan Cole – Currently owned in 48.4% of ESPN Leagues

If you haven’t watched his catch from Sunday….. stop what you’re doing and go watch it now. Cole channels his inner Odell Beckham Jr with his one-handed high point catch. We said that the beginning of the year that Keelan Cole was going to be the number one receiver in this offense and he proved it this last Sunday. Now if Fournette returns this week look for the Jags to go back to being a run first offense but anytime you can grab a number one at WR on a team off of the waivers you do it!

Mike Williams – Currently owned in 35.3% of ESPN Leagues

Game script worked against him this week in that Williams only had 2 catches but he did get a Touchdown. The Chargers got on top of the Bills early and they coasted the rest of the way. Just ask Keenan Allen owners. He is going to draw a tough match up this week against Peters or Talib from the Rams as Williams lines up on the outside. But, much like the Kansas City Chiefs, I am buying on Chargers right now. Mike Williams is the big body in the redzone with no real TE presence on the roster. Gates wont be involved enough in the offense to take enough away from Williams to make me nervous.

Chris Godwin – Currently owned in 34.1% of ESPN Leagues

The Buccaneers offense is on FIRE right now with Fitzpatrick at the helm and I am buying on any pass catcher not named Cameron Brate. I know… I know… we have talked about Brate a nauseum for the last 3 seasons as a very under rated TE. But that was with Winston at the helm because of the chemistry between the two of them. Godwin has come in and been a major factor in the passing game. On a hot offense. Ryan talked about him a lot in the preseason.

Will Dissly – Currently owned in 24.3% of ESPN Leagues

Dissley had a great game in week one against the Broncos and had it not been for a slight overthrow Dissley could have had two touchdowns. This week Dissley scored again late in the game but had it not been for an UNDER throw by Wilson he could have had two this week as well. Look the tight end position is a heavily targeted part of the Seahawks offense and clearly it is Dissly. Without Baldwin in the line up there are not many options in the passing game outside of Lockett.

OJ Howard – Currently owned in 21.5% of ESPN Leagues

The big man Howard has tremendous BIG PLAY capability and he put it on display this week with his 75 yard touchdown. Fitzpatrick is at the helm right now and even IF the Bucs decided to do something stupid and put Winston back in as the Starter in week four, Howard maintains his position as a huge value. His ability after the catch it top notch and if Howard were to get the type of target share top TE’s get you would see a TOP 3 tight end. The upside is HUGE and his downside is very small because of what he can do after the catch.
