Wk 11 Waiver Wire: QB – Ryan Skolrud

by Ryan Skolrud

As we get deeper into the season it can be more and more difficult to find a quarterback to stream for your fantasy matchups. The quarterback pool can thin out rather quickly due to both injury and bye weeks. Let’s see if we can find a couple options for your week 11 matchups:

Dak Prescott – Owned in 32% of ESPN leagues

This this is not a quarterback that we at SkullKing have actively been promoting throughout the season. However, he has produced stream worthy numbers over the last 7 weeks. He only has one game under 14 points since week 4, and he has shown his ability to use his legs to both extend plays and get into the endzone. Prescott has been pretty good about protecting the ball with only five interceptions on the season, though he does have four fumbles. Look for Dak to have an adequate week in Atlanta for week 11 going against a defense that couldn’t stop Baker Mayfield or Nick Chubb. Atlanta has struggled on defense since they lost both of their starting safeties and their middle linebacker.

Marcus Mariota – Owned in 15.5% of leagues

Mariota has struggled with consistency this past season due to fighting injuries in multiple weeks. Now that it seems he is healthy, he is managed to put up very respectable numbers against a few solid defenses. What helps mariota’s quarterback scoring is his ability to use his legs to escape the pocket and gain yards. Look for Mariota to put up another solid game of around 225 yards through the air and a couple TD’s while also using his legs to run for another 30 to 50 yards against the middle in Indianapolis Colts defense.

Baker Mayfield – Owned in 40.3% of leagues

I know that Baker Mayfield is going into his bye for week 11. That being said, Mayfield has shown to be a stream-worthy quarterback since his first actual start in Oakland in week 4. This move is more of a strategic move to get a quarterback that you could use as you near the fantasy playoffs. Mayfield still has two games against a Cincinnati defense that is one of the worst in the league against the pass. If you have room on your bench to stash hi,m for an extra week, now would be a good time to pick up Mayfield before a quarterback desperate team needs him in week 12 to cover a bye.
