NFL Draft

Draft Profile: NC State WR Kelvin Harmon – Nabeel Lalani

By Nabeel Lalani

Kelvin Harmon

6’2” 221 Lbs

2018 Stats

81 Rec, 1186 yd, 7 TD

Strengths:

Very good at finding holes in zone defenses to move the chain. Harmon is also a willing blocker in the run and the screen game that should translate to the next level. Harmon’s size will also make him an immediate red zone mismatch at the next level with his catch radius and ability to high point the ball.

Weakness:

Harmon lacks elite speed he will never out run a corner but will instead have to use double moves to create space other ways. He showed his speed amoung the other WR at the NFL combine as he posted a 4.60 on the 40 yard dash tied for 5th slowest amoungst WRs.

Overall:

Harmon is a interesting prospect who could be taken near the end of the first round but most likely a second round pick. His skills and game tape reminds me Alshon Jeffery his rookie year on the Chicago Bears.
