The Tennessee Titans were able to lock up Derrick Henry on an extension that will solidify the position for years to come. Henry is the latest piece in Jon Robinson’s roster as the Titans have already cashed in on Ryan Tannehill and rookie Wide Receiver A.J. Brown.

Henry was signed to a 4-year deal worth 50 million and 25.5 million guaranteed. Henry has 13 career 100 yd games which the Titans are undefeated in. He is an intricate part of the Titans’ offense as when he gets going, he opens up the passing game for Tannehill. The deal was lucrative for both sides as the Titans will be able to retain Henry without resetting the whole Running Back market in the NFL. Tennessee is able to keep Henry in the top 5 Running Back average money per year category.

Henry also makes out well in this deal as he is slated to remain with the franchise until he is 30 years old. In the NFL, the durability of running backs is always a question and Henry will be able to cash in with his current deal for the foreseeable future.
