Goldman becomes the first Bears player to opt out of the 2020 season so far, and will leave a big hole in Chicago’s defense that defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano and defensive line coach Jay Rodgers will need to fill. Expect John Jenkins, an eight-year veteran from Georgia to fill in for Goldman. Jenkins had just 20 tackles and 1 sack in 2019.
Other players such as Abdullah Anderson, Bilal Nichols, Roy Robertson-Harris, and rookie Trevis Gipson to be more involved this fall.
