Pierrie-Luc Dubois 2-Year Extension

It’s going to be a happy New Year for Pierrie-Lou Dubois, he will be staying with the Columbus Blue Jackets for 2 more seasons, pulling in 10 Million over the extension. During this upcoming 2020-2021 season, which will officially kick off January 13, 2021, Dubois will make 3.35 Million. The following season, 2021-2022, he will make a cool 6.65 million.
In just 264 games with the team, and only 22 years of age, he has put up some major points for the team. So far that consists of 158 total, with 65 goals and 93 assists. He made his first historic mark on the Blue Jackets during his 143 game, scoring 100 goals to kick off his constant, record reaping career. This young man is an asset to the team, leading in this past summers Canada Bubble Playoff with 4 goals and 6 assists. He has made his name one to remember, with a highly demanded jersey and signature, you can see why he is worth keeping around for at least 2 additional seasons.
I’ll close this out with some incredible excitement from both the Blue Jackets GM and the player himself on this deal. “Pierre-Luc is a talented, young player with great potential, and we look forward to his continued growth and development, and the valuable contributions he will bring to our team,” said Kekalainen.
“I’m excited to have the contract done and to be able to get back on the ice and play hockey again, especially with everything that is going on in the world right now,” said Dubois. “I’m very fortunate and looking forward to being with my teammates at camp and the start of a new season.”
