Blue Jackets

CBJ 1/14/21 Game Review

The Columbus Blue Jackets opened their season strong.  In Period 1, we had a score from Jenner, and solid defense, which lead to a 1-0 score, in favor of the Blue Jackets.  Unfortunately, after this exciting first period, the wheels began to fall off.  In Period 2, Kunin, scored for the Predators.  This occurred with a 2 against 1 break away.  The same slip up benefited the Predators in Period 3, again, with a goal by Forsberg.  The Predators then put the ! on their evening with a late goal by Jarnkrok.

The final score was 3-1, Predators.

Although this wasn’t the opener to the season we’d hoped to see, there were some high points of the night.  We got to see Domi and Del Zotto mesh well with the Blue Jackets team.  And although we lost, there was some strong defense and goaltending the team can build upon going forward.  Remember, this is a series, and we have a second chance in Nashville Saturday evening.  If they can reduce the 2 on 1 situations, and find the net more, I could see big things happening for our team in the next 55 games.  However, these things which are possible, must happen.  Puck drop is again at 8 PM, come to for all updates before then, and for my game wrap up after.

As always, go CBJ!
