How has this season gone so far for the Memphis Grizzlies? It’s been exactly 50-50.
The Grizzlies (12-12) are at .500 after Wednesday’s 122-113 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder at FedEx Forum. After notching its recent seven-game winning streak, Memphis has fallen back to earth, going 3-6 in its last nine games.
In Wednesday’s victory, young Memphis star Ja Morant notched a triple-double with 15 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds. Jonas Valanciunas and Grayson Allen led the Grizzlies with 22 points each.

Oklahoma City was ahead by one point, 31-30, at the end of the first quarter, but Memphis outscored the Thunder in the second and fourth periods, and tied them in the third, to ultimately steal the win. Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins was ejected during the game, the first ejection of his career.

“I think at different points throughout the season you are pushing buttons at different moments,” Jenkins told The Daily Memphian. “After that four-game losing streak, weโre coming out and every other game we are accomplishing different things and trying to find that sustainability on both ends.
“If thatโs what I have to do every now and then, hopefully Iโm not that person all the time, but I think our guys are receiving it well at different points throughout the season. You just never know what you have to do to make those calls and get a little bit more animated.”
The Grizzlies will host the Detroit Pistons (8-20) at 8 p.m. Friday.
