CBJ Have New Head Coach- NHL

Via the Blue Jackets Official Twitter Page, and the text alerts, Brad Larsen is official the next Columbus Blue Jackets Head Coach!  He will follow the 7th head coach, John Tortorella, who left the team this season after his contract expired.  This will be a promotions after spending 7 years as an assistant coach for the club.  At just 43-years-old, he can grow with the team, which will consist of mostly young players this next season.  Larsen reportedly signed a contract, which will start in this 2021-2022 season, and will be up for renewal in the 2023-2024 season.

The new coach said this “I’ve been extremely proud to be a Columbus Blue Jacket and be part of this wonderful community for the past seven years, and I am humbled and honored to be the head coach of this hockey club.”  (https://www.nhl.com/bluejackets/news/cbj-name-brad-larsen-head-coach/c-325291980.)  We can’t wait to see how he will mold this new team, as a new coach, and wish him the very best of luck going forward.
