Michael Del Zotto has left the Blue Jackets. He has become a Ottawa Senator, for at least the next two years. The man is a seasoned player at thirty-one years of age. He has a Stanley Cup from his 2018-2019 season, which he won with the Blues, and has since bounced around from team to team. The man who has called himself a Ranger, Predator, and most recently a Blue Jacket, will now be known as a Senator.
Least season, he played 53 games for the team, and had a solid 13 points. With any luck, he can expand on this total, this upcoming NHL season. His contract states he’ll earn $1.75 million for this upcoming season, and $2.25 million for the following 2022-2023 season. This includes a $2 million AAV.
We wish Del Zotto the best of luck, in Canada.
