Blue Jackets Keep Pace And Win Again At Home, Now 12-6-0!

The first goal, a Blue Jackets goal, would come from Nyquist. It would be in Period one at 13:54 while the Canucks were on a powerplay. Down a man and the Blue Jacket still scored, beautiful, and what the 5th Line wants to see! Unfortunately, Podkolzin would score for the Canucks at 19:32, tying the game at 1-1 after 20 minutes.
In the second period Boqvist would score, putting the Blue Jackets back in a leadership position. His goal would come at 6:17. Again, the Canucks would even the score though with less than 2 minutes remaining. The second period would end with another tie, this time 2-2.
In the third period the Blue Jackets would again open up the score. At 6:08 Roslovic would score his third goal of the 2021-22 NHL Season. 3-2 Blue Jackets. At 1:35 that score would go up to 4-2, as Domi would come away with an empty net goal. This 4-2 would be the final score as the Blue Jackets win!
Merzlikins had 41 shots on his goal total and only 2 got in. Not a bad night at all. Also, it’s been brought to my attention that the light blue Merzlikins pads go with another Jersey, not tonight’s. So, the blue pads are still 2-0-0. The Columbus Blue Jackets as a whole will head into an extended, 4 game road trip, 12-6-0 for this NHL Season. Not bad at all!
The St. Louis Blues are hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow night. Puck drop is a bit later, set for 8:00 PM. We’ll see you then 5th Line!
Go CBJ!
