Leatherhead – Vintage Baseball (Figure-8)

Description

The modern style baseball, commonly known as the “figure 8” style baseball first appeared in 1872. With the invention of this style of baseball, the lemon peel style became obsolete. Leather Head’s figure 8 baseballs are made by hand. They start by cutting the cover panels with a real baseball cutting die. They use superior leather and real baseball cores. Each ball is hand-stitched using sturdy waxed polyester thread.
